Submission Guidelines & Terms & Conditions
GUIDELINES FOR WRITING LEGAL BLOG FOR US:
Arvind Attorneys, being an independent Law Firm, welcome submission of original articles and response pieces to existing articles on the blog. Please refer to the guidelines below before submitting an article.
MODEL OF PUBLICATION
- Invited Submissions – Arvind Attorneys may invite contributions from legal practitioners, academicians and students on a notified topic.
- Rolling Submissions – Arvind Attorneys accepts articles for publication on the blog website on a rolling basis, as per guidelines below.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
- The article should be submitted in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx) to arvindattorneys@yahoo.com with the subject ‘Author Name | Title of the Article’.
- Co-authorship is permitted up to two (2) authors.
- The body of the email should contain the details of the author(s) including Name, Year of Study (if applicable) and Institution / Organization of Affiliation.
STYLE GUIDELINES
- The title of the article should be 100 characters or less.
- Defined terms should be made bold and placed inside (parenthesis) at the first occurrence. For example: the Competition Commission of India 2002 (CCI).
- Statutes should be referred to by their full name, including the year, at the first occurrence. Please note, we avoid using a comma between the name of the statute and the year. For example: Companies Act 2013.
- When referring to a particular section / regulation / article of any statute, the first letter thereof should be capitalized. For example: Section 13 or Regulations 41 and 42.
- Dates are formatted as follows: 31 March 2023 or 01 April 2024.
- Direct quotes from any judgement / order should be italicized and placed inside “double quotes”.
- The word limit for submissions is between 1,000 to 1,500 words.
- The article should be analytical in nature. It should have an Introduction, Body and a Conclusion.
- All references must be appropriately hyperlinked within the text of the article itself. If there is no online source available / such referencing is otherwise not possible, footnotes may be used.
AUTHOR AGREEMENT
- The articles or response pieces submitted for publication should be an original work of the author and should have not been published previously or currently submitted for publication to any other platform.
- The author is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of statement of facts, opinions or views in the submission.
REVIEW PROCESS
- We will acknowledge the receipt of your submission within 24 hours.
- Each article is reviewed by one or more Editors of the blog, who retain the discretion to accept, reject or request any revisions for the said article.
CROSS-PUBLICATION
- Posts initially published on the blog website may be cross-published on other platforms, provided that the cross-publication carries the wording to the effect that the article was “first published on Arvind Attorneys (https://arvindattorneys.com)”.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF PUBLISHING ARTICLES ON ARVIND ATTORNEYS BLOG:
By submitting any article for publication on https://arvindattorneys.com , or communicating in any way the consent to publish articles the author has undertaken and agreed with the following terms and conditions:
- The article is the original work of the author and has not been published elsewhere.
- The author assumes full responsibility for any instances of plagiarism or copyright infringement that may arise from the publication of the article and agrees to indemnify Arvind Attorneys against any resulting damages or legal actions.
- In the event of negative public feedback, government action, criticism, or damage to the blog’s reputation, the blog editors reserve the right to remove the article. However, the blog will make reasonable efforts to defend the author’s rights and will not remove posts lightly.
- Any liability arising from the views, opinions, or language used in the article rests solely with the author or contributor (including guest writers). Arvind Attorneys and the blog’s owners will not be held responsible for such content.
- The author may request permission to republish the article on their personal blog or a blog they exclusively own, but this can only occur after obtaining written consent from Arvind Attorneys. If permission is granted, the article must include a note indicating that it was originally published on the Arvind Attorneys Blog, along with a link to the original post.
- Any disputes, controversies, or claims arising from or related to these terms and conditions, including issues of copyright, licensing, or breaches, terminations, or invalidities, shall be resolved through arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. The resulting award shall be binding on both parties. The arbitration will be conducted based on written submissions, documents, and pleadings, without any oral hearings. The parties will submit their written pleadings to the arbitrator appointed according to the provisions of the Act. The arbitrator will make a timely decision based solely on these written arguments. The award issued by the arbitrator will be binding on both parties. If one party fails to participate in or hinders the arbitration process, the arbitrator may issue an ex parte order, which will be enforceable against both parties.
